Annual Events

Open House

The month of September is an Open House, so feel free to invite anyone who may be interested to attend. You can pick up some leaflets in the Toy Library to distribute them around the Bay or print them directly from this PDF file.

Halloween Party

Both kids and parents are welcome to come in their Halloween costumes. We also have a few extra costumes in our dress up trunk in case you do not have anything handy.

Holiday Party

There will be snacks to share, cookies to decorate, and a visit from our old friend, Santa. We ask that you bring something for the snack table, a little something for Santa's thank-you basket, and remember that Santa likes to give your little ones a book, valued less than $15, wrapped, and clearly marked with the recipient's first and last name.

Please see Jane C. to indicate what snack you might be able to contribute. Santa has always been reluctant to accept anything for his special appearance, so we have traditionally given him a basket of goodies which he can take home to share with Mrs. Claus. We ask each family to contribute something for the basket, such as a jar of homemade jam or pickles, Christmas craft, fudge, cookies, Tim's gift certificates... anything at all!

Valentine's Party

On Wednesday, February 11, 2008, starting at 9:30am, we will be having a small party in honour of St.Valentine's Day. Come play a few games, share in a story time, eat some tasty treats and other surprises are planned.

In preparation, one week prior the party, on February 4, 2009, we will be decorating bags to be used to for a valentines exchange between our little friends. Next week, if you would like and are able, please feel free to bring a small token for your wee participant to hand out to their friends. Ideas like cards, stickers, lollipops, candies, chocolates or other small treasures will work. If you choose a card, each child's name, which is listed as a member of the toy library, can be found on our shared contact list, which was recently updated and sent to you via email.

Spring Party

Match 15, 2009. Kids will hunt eggs on the playground if weather permits.

Family Picnic at Graves Island Provincial Park in East Chester

Meet at the park at 11:30am, in the first meadow on the left below the playground. Bring your own picnic lunch, and something to share as well as your kites, balls, frisbees, etc. Also, there is a nice little beach for wading/swimming and catching hermit crabs, so bring your buckets and water socks.
